Short-term joint staff training
15-19 February 2016, León, Spain
The selected experts from each partner in the field of ICC and language training gathered together in León to share best practice, learn from each other, work collectively on innovative models of training courses and agree project standards. The trainers tailored the programme for the joint staff training event based on the needs analysis of the teacher questionnaire.
Robert O'Dowd led the first part of the training session for HE educators to strengthen their knowledge and use of telecollaboration, while learning more about virtual mobility and on-line team work. Adrian Pilbeam led the second part of the training focusing on: sharing knowledge, skills, ideas and approaches in the field of ICC, enriching their teaching techniques, expanding their skill sets to design different types of intercultural training courses, gaining greater experience of facilitation styles and methods and strengthening their transnational expertise.
